Ability Counts to MK Dons!

30 March 2017

The Club will host its annual Ability Counts Big Day at Stadium MK when the Dons take on Gillingham on Saturday 1st April; kick-off 3pm.

The match has been designated as Ability Counts Big Day, an event which aims to promote the facilities available to disabled supporters at Stadium MK as well as highlight the work undertaken by the MK Dons Sport and Education Trust (SET), including its 20 disability teams.

In the build-up to the match, the Club will be running a series of stadium tours for disabled supporters on Thursday 30th March.

On each of the tours, fans will be able to ask questions to director of sales Richard Gough, manager Robbie Neilson and disability ambassador David Martin.

Tours will be running at 4.30pm, 5.30pm and 6.15pm - to book your place, call 0333 200 5343 or email oliver.stephenson@mkdons.com.

On the matchday, fans representing the Dons’ disability teams, along with Gillingham supporters and guest teams from other clubs who take part in disability football, will take part in a half-time parade around the pitch to promote disability awareness in a celebration of football.

In addition, MK Dons SET will be running a series of demonstration games with the disability teams from 9.30am until 12pm at the Club’s training facility at Woughton on the Green. Spectators and new players are welcome to attend.

Around the day, members of the MKDSA are undertaking a programme of events to raise funds for their Changing Places Project to enable them to install one a specialised disabled toilet facility in Stadium MK. This will also include a pre-match bucket collection ahead of the Gillingham game.
