13 March 2018

Robbie Muirhead has been selected in the Scotland Under-21s squad for their upcoming UEFA European Championship Qualifier.

Muirhead is one of 21 players included in Scott Gemmill’s squad for the qualifier with Andorra, which takes place at the Estadi Comunal on Friday 23rd March (kick-off 5pm local time).

It is the MK Dons forward’s first Scotland Under-21s call-up. Muirhead has impressed since returning to the starting line-up in February and scored his first goal in the 1-1 draw with Fleetwood Town at Highbury Stadium.

Scotland Under-21s currently sit fourth in their UEFA European Championship Qualifier group table, six points adrift of leaders England.

As a result of the call-up, Muirhead will be unavailable for the Dons' Sky Bet League One fixture with Blackpool at Stadium MK on Saturday 24th March.

Scotland Under-21s squad in full: Josh Donaldson (Dundee United), Ross Doohan (Celtic), Ryan Fulton (Hamilton), Jason Kerr (St Johnstone), Calvin Miller (Celtic), Anthony Ralston (Celtic), Liam Smith (Heart of Midlothian), Greg Taylor (Kilmarnock), Iain Wilson (Kilmarnock), Liam Burt (Rangers), Allan Campbell (Motherwell), Greg Docherty (Rangers), Kyle Magennis (St Mirren), Stephen Mallan (Barnsley), Lewis Morgan (Celtic), Harvey St Clair (Chelsea), Eamonn Brophy (Kilmarnock), Oliver Burke (West Bromwich Albion), Ryan Hardie (Rangers), Robbie Muirhead (MK Dons), Scott Wright (Aberdeen)
