George C Williams understands the importance of Saturday’s fixture with Peterborough United and insists MK Dons will be up for the challenge.
“Peterborough on Saturday, we all know, is a big one,” Williams told MK Dons PlayerHD. “It’s a bit of a derby and in these next couple of days we’ll make sure we’re ready to go on Saturday.”
“I’m feeling better each game and I feel I’ve played enough games now to say I’m fully fit.”
Williams has been involved in every match this season following his season-long loan move from Fulham and the Dons Academy graduate has improved with every fixture.
“We’ve lost in the end so obviously we are a bit disappointed but we’ll dust ourselves and we’ll get ready for Peterborough on Saturday.”
He said: “I think all we can take from the game is positives. They are a Championship side and we took them all the way and played really well – we can be proud of ourselves.
Arguably his best performance of the campaign came in Tuesday’s EFL Cup tie at Championship outfit Reading – an evening the 20-year-old believes was a positive one for the Football Club, despite the penalty shoot-out defeat.
